I love the new digital video recorders, especially compared to the old style camcorders.  I used to use the old ones that took the VHS tapes or the little tapes that had to be transferred to VHS.  They were heavy, hard to carry, impossible to hold for more than a few minutes.  My arm would fall asleep, my back would hurt and my neck would be screaming after only ten or fifteen minutes.  With the new digital video recorders, I can hold one all day and never get tired.  They are so lightweight, weighing less than two pounds, so it's easy to hold for longer periods.  I love that the new ones don't take tapes, they take memory cards instead.  Memory cards are so much more affordable than those little tapes were.  It is so much easier to download the video to my computer than it was to transfer those little tapes to the VHS using the VCR, also.  I love the digital video recorders that are available now, for their portability and ease of use.
